Ready to take your game to the next level? Join our competitive program where you can play ECNL, and/or one of our NorCal premier teams. Our Lightning Competitive program is comprised of dedicated athletes, ages U9 to U19, selected through a formal tryout process held each May. Roster placements are determined by performance and technical evaluation rather than a random assignment process.
Missed the May window? We are always looking for committed, talented players. If you are looking to be evaluated mid-season or have recently moved to the area, please contact our Competitive Program Director at [email protected] to schedule an individual evaluation.
Players in the U8 age group or younger who are interested in a competitive environment are encouraged to explore the ABSC Rising Program. This pathway is designed to introduce young athletes to higher-level technical training and prepare them for future competitive play

The Lightning Program operates on a merit-based selection model rather than a traditional pay-to-play structure. Roster placements are awarded based on a comprehensive evaluation of a player’s mental, tactical, and physical attributes. Participation in a formal tryout or technical evaluation is a prerequisite for entry into the Lightning competitive pathway.
