Welcome to the ABSC Spring Travel Recreational Program, 2026!

Our progressive, age-appropriate program meets and exceeds USSF standards and will guide your player in the tactical, physical, and emotional skills needed to play at a higher level and to achieve their full potential without injury and burnout. We take pride in our athlete-centered program.

Program Format

• Playing Format: 7v7 ( (8-9 or 3rd-4th grade) | 9v9 (ages 10-11 or 5th - 6th grade) | 11v11 (ages 12+ or 7th grade and older)

• Depending on the playing format, roster size will range from 11-19 players per team

• 4 Home games on local Albany-Berkeley fields

• 4 Away games, local travel within a 10-mile radius, typically Alameda, Richmond, El Cerrito ect.

• All players guaranteed 50% play-time

• Professional, licensed coach OR Volunteer parent coach

Dates

• Spring Program runs mid March to mid May

• Spring End of Season Tournament hosted by Albany Berkeley Soccer Club

Location & Times

• Practice Time: 4-5:30pm or 5:30-7pm

• Players can make requests during registration.

• Location for Home games and Practice: Gabe West, Berkeley | King, Berkeley | San Pablo, Berkeley

• Location for Away games: Alameda, Oakland, Richmond

• Saturday or Sunday games

PLEASE READ!

IMPORTANT: Teams opting for an ABSC professional Coach must still have a volunteer parent Team Manager.

Team Managers act as a team liaison and an extension of the ABSC admin team.

Maintain team rosters and communication through the GameChanger App
Organize a post game snack roster
Organize a post season party
Assist coaches on game day by timing player substitutions
Managers do not need to attend practices
Prepare for the next season by forming a roster of returning players and contacting ABSC

Managers must register as a team official through the player account.
